| Lloydminster reaps the benefits of a growing trade area in excess of 150,000 people. Of this population, 68.4% are from Alberta and 31.6% are from Saskatchewan. In comparison with the 1995 trade area of 83,172 people, the trade area in 2000 had increased approximately 40%. With a population of approximately 27,000, the city is expected to grow to over 30,000 by the year 2011. This population is young, energetic, well educated and trained, ensuring continued success for Lloydminster and area. |
