Lakeland Collegewww.lakelandc.ab.ca

Lakeland College was established in 1913 as the Vermilion School of Agriculture, it is now an Alberta-Saskatchewan inter-provincial college, with campuses in Vermilion and Lloydminster.  The Vermilion Campus currently has over 1300 students enrolled, with several hundred taking courses at the Lloydminster campus. 

 

Lakeland is the lead college for dairy industry education in Alberta, and offers an extensive range of other agriculture programs.   Other major programs at Vermilion Campus include Business Administration, Office Administration, Apprenticeship Trades, Interior Design, Environmental Sciences, and Firefighter and Emergency Medical Services Technician.

 

The Lloydminster Campus opportunities include University Studies, Business Administration, Computer Science, Rehabilitation Services, and Heavy Oil Operations Technician.  Both campuses have student housing for singles and families.  Lakeland College also offers many extension courses on a part-time basis, and develops customized programs to serve business and industry.

 

Reeves Business College

Established in 1961 by C.J. Reeves, the college’s philosophy is to train the entire individual.  We focus not only on academics, but also train students in the etiquette of business.  By doing this we are able to meet the needs of the job market.  Our students receive secretarial diplomas recognized by the National Association of Career Colleges.  Career programs offered are Secretary Receptionist, Accounting Technician/ Management Option, and Administrative Secretarial.
